It should be noted that on August 8, 2025, following a trilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint declaration on ensuring peace between Baku and Yerevan and establishing transport links between the mainland of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan. This project was dubbed the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity."
Armenia is interested in involving the European Union in the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project.
According to Trend, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a discussion entitled "Armenia and the World at the Intersection of Risks and Opportunities" with the US and European Union ambassadors.
"Yesterday in Washington, another important step was taken toward institutionalizing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the practical implementation of the TRIPP project. I congratulate all of us on this. It's clear that major investments and significant financial resources will now be directed to our region. This is good news," he noted.
According to Pashinyan, US participation in the project has already been determined, while the European Union's involvement in TRIPP requires detailed discussions with EU partners regarding the format of participation and other specific projects.
"We are interested in this," the Prime Minister emphasized.
